Xia I'd like you someday to tell us for how long have you been working (drawing) using Photoshop and maybe you know show us some of your first works... I don't think you draw like this from the first time you started with Photoshop didn't you??!

Thanks bro... hope you'll post something one of these days!

Peace!

Luca> Thank you brother! very kind of you.
I wouldn't recommend seeing any of my easier work...reason? I have to keep some decency and reputation so people hire me on regular basis and I can pay my bills.
How long?
I have been drawing on and off since I was a kid. But I take it seriously in 1999. Work on Disney product as a 2D animator from 2000 to 2003. Start using Photoshop in 2003 when I get on with Arena, but my traditional skill was already solid enough (drawing, painting figure and stuff) Photoshop is basically just an easy tool but it takes a long time to get use to. So I use PS along with many 3D app for about 5 years now.
Cool? :)

yes man...very cool lol! You know, I just asked you this "unusual" question because I've been using photoshop for about 2 years now but for about 3 months as a drawing software (not editing software). I am very sad because when I come to color I never get the result I want! On paper I find no problems... now I'm watching your "Feature Tutorials" and they're wonderful... still I haven't seen them all (they are on my pc- need to find some time! :). I hope to get better by time and practice, what do you think?!
Were you also not happy with your finished artwork when you started using Photoshop as a design software?

I think practice got you where you are right?!

Thanks bro!

Xia> You have made him disappear! Now I just look like a crazy person.

I think it's safe to say that practicing anything will help you improve at it. My problem is, I do get lazy sometimes...alot...

I wonder if at some point in the future (or perhaps already!) someone will work solely with computers to do artwork, and when applying to jobs they get away with having no traditional sketches/paintings etc.

Look like a crazy person, like that is anything new.

Anyway nice to see the latest comic online. Would checked in before but I was away for the weekend diving. Don't have any photos though.

And starting from 8th of October, I'll be in Egypt, working as a DiveMaster, so I don't know if I'll be able to keep up as well as I used to.

It's for 2 months only though.

Printer and Dive Master... can't say I see a connection there.

Sounds like alot of fun though, good luck!
Knuckles930 said…
I never said there was a connection
to be seen. ;)

The company I've shown on the community
are pictures from my parents business.
Although its nice work I think its nicer
to work as a DiveMaster and later
Instructor for the time being, since
most often once you start settle down
its hard to do something like that...
