Just thought we should know. Fifty years ago Soviet Union launched a basketball-sized satellite into space October 4, 1957. Then ferocious a space race between US and former USSR begin!
It's the race war between the capitalist PIG and The Commie.
The US tried to launch a satellite called Vanguard TV3 on December 6, but it crashed! and land back onto the launchpad.

Not until January 31, 1958, did the United States successfully send Explorer I into orbit.
