Well done Xia! As Chris said; you explained your process very well.
How about someday you make a creature (or something) but this time without a focal point- how it would be; and what is your opinion about a concept without focal point?
Do you like to make drawings and go in deep detail for every single thing?

Thanks agian man!

Chris> Thank you brother! Cheers!

Luca> Thanks man! Uh...that would defeat the purpose, unless it's a highly detail line drawing. There are reasons we do pay attention to focal point instead of bringing everything out...I will write a post on that sometimes next week. Cheers!!!

Found this neat little paragraph on it:

In art,[the focal point is] the centre of interest in an artwork that attracts the viewer's eyes first. Artists use various techniques to bring the viewer to the focal point of their work, often the most important part of a painting, but not always placed in the centre of it. The focal point may stand out because of its size, the brightness of its colour, the use of contrasting colours, particularly light against dark, or because the components of the painting have been arranged so as to guide the viewer's eye.

[I also think an area sharper, more "in focus" should also count, aswell as having a more detailed area. I think it also helps to give a piece depth.]

Anonymous> Thank you, :) I try...at least most of the time. No, that would be EPIC I don't work for them. I work for ArenaNet/NCsoft for now. But it's a small industry, people know or heard of each other.
