OK guys, here is my first drawing tutorial using Gimp 2.4
It's surprisingly awesome!!! I think it can be up to the par with Photoshop CS2 or 3 sometimes soon. I speaking in term of using it for painting and drawing purpose, it has everything that you need to get the job done nicely. (Photoshop has tons of unnecessary functions that I usually don't deal with when I create art so...) And it's FREE!!!
Anyway, one of these days if I have some more time to get use to Gimp, I could possibly make the final sketch as good as what I could make in Photoshop.

I have been looking your tutorials like a week ago, and im practice all of than :P your skills are very impresive!!! very usefull for me, finally im drawing girls from my mind, i think that the best is PRACTICE yeaaa.
About gimp is a very cool tool, i use it a long time ago when i was user of Linux, i saw a video that im going to give you. They are developing some stuff like in painter about the brushes, color, opacity etc... http://www.jesusda.com/blog/index.php?id=204
